AU History: We're not asking for a dissertation; just briefly describe your character's life. What was their childhood like if it's relevant? If your character is easy to AU (sports, slice of life, etc.), you are free to link to a wikia page, or you can write out their history yourself.
Fighter/Sacrifice: Will the character discover that they are a Fighter or a Sacrifice? Describe your decision.

Name: Laurent
Age: 18 (not canon)
Canon: Fire Emblem: Awakening
AU History:
nerdSince an incredibly young age, Laurent has had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. As soon as he could walk and talk, he started babbling about all of his "scientific discoveries". Mother, it appears this insect goes through a process of change. Father, look - if I add baking soda to vinegar, there is a reaction. While curious about practically everything under the sun, it was clear he'd end up in the sciences.In high school, in addition to being near or at the top of his class, he became involved in the student council during his first year as a member of a committee. It was then he found out his lesser (but still important) drive for order and organization- he climbed up the chain of command for the next two years, moving to treasurer and then president.
Once he graduated from high school, he moved away from his parents and moved to Tokyo to attend Tokyo University of Science and study chemistry. He's currently in his first year and lives in an apartment by himself, tutoring others to help pay for his bills.
Fighter/Sacrifice: Sacrifice. Laurent's biggest strength is his ability to perceive subtle things very quickly, and to draw logical conclusions from little information - in various support and DLC conversations, he solves his friends' problems through observation and intuition. He says himself, in canon, that "[he] [considers] it [his] role to monitor this army's condition and aid in its preservation", and that "perspicacity and analysis are the only things [he] [has] to offer." With that in mind, he would really thrive in the role of the Sacrifice.

Other: • In canon, he's able to use magic via incantations and spell books. But this was something that he had to study a lot to achieve in his canon setting, so this will not carry over.
• Laurent has an established canon mother, but not a father - I will be leaving this vague for the sake of future castmates.
